Welcome to West Bengal Dental Council
The Dental Council of India is constituted by an act of parliament ‘The Dentists Act 1948’ (XVI of 1948) with a view to regulate the dental education, dental profession and dental ethics thereto-which came into existence in March, 1949. The Council is composed of 6 constituencies representing Central Government, State Government, Universities, Dental Colleges, Medical Council of India and the Private Practitioners of Dentistry.

Announcements
All Registered Dentists are to be informed that the annually renewal of their Registration is compulsory as per the Dentists Act 1948. Hence, all Registered Dentists under Part A & Part-B and Dental Personnel under Dental Hygienists, Dental Mechanics and Dental Operating Room Assistant (DORA) are directed to renew their registration upto 2026 within 31st March 2026 with paying applicable renewal fees and restoration fees by online under this Council.
For any query kindly contact with the Council office on any working day (Monday to Friday) from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

West Bengal Dental Council is a Statutory Body constituted by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal w.e.f. 1st January, 1951 in terms of notification No.Medl/6027/2D-54/50 dated 29th December, 1950 and regulated by the Dental Council of India under Section 21 of the Dentist Act, 1948 (XVI of 1948) of the Govt. of India.

All registered users are hereby informed that if the first transaction for Renewal of Annual Registration is successful during Online payment, they should not proceed with a second transaction. In case the amount has been debited from the account but the Annual Registration Year is not updated in the system, users are requested to: Contact the Council Office and Send an email to info@wbdc.org.in along with proper proof/screenshot of amount debited.
